Abstract
The main aim of this paper is to protect an Induction motor(IM) against various faults like Over voltage, Over current, Under voltage, Single phasing. The Protection of motor from such faults is very important, because faults can decreases its efficiency. IMs can be protected using some components, such as timers, contactors, voltage, and current relays. We are using the microcontroller based circuit for fault detection and it will protect the motor from several faults.
