Abstract
Solar energy technology has emerged as one of the most promising renewable energy solutions for addressing the global energy crisis and environmental concerns. Recent advancements in photovoltaic (PV) technologies, smart monitoring systems, energy storage integration, bifacial solar panels, floating solar plants, and agrivoltaic systems have significantly improved the efficiency, reliability, and economic viability of solar power generation. This review paper presents a comprehensive analysis of recent developments in solar energy technology, focusing on emerging photovoltaic materials, artificial intelligence-based monitoring systems, maximum power point tracking techniques, energy storage integration, and innovative solar deployment methods. The paper also discusses the challenges associated with solar energy adoption, including efficiency limitations, environmental impacts, and grid integration issues. Furthermore, future research directions such as perovskite solar cells, AI-integrated smart solar systems, and sustainable energy management are highlighted. The study concludes that continuous technological advancements and interdisciplinary research are essential for accelerating the global transition toward sustainable energy systems.
