Abstract
This project presents the design and implementation of a PID controller for stabilizing the angle of a flat-blade fan system. The flat-blade fan system is an aerodynamic system with nonlinear characteristics and is highly affected by disturbances and parameter variations, making it difficult to control accurately. Therefore, the development of an effective control method is essential to improve system stability and performance.
The study focuses on identifying the mathematical model of the flat-blade fan system through experimental system identification using MATLAB/Simulink and the System Identification Toolbox. Based on the identified model, a PID controller is designed and tuned to achieve stable angle control with small overshoot and acceptable settling time.
Simulation and experimental results are carried out for different reference angles under both normal operating conditions and disturbance conditions. The obtained results demonstrate that the designed PID controller can maintain system stability, reduce steady-state error, and provide satisfactory tracking performance. Furthermore, the identified model shows high compatibility with the real system, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed identification and control methods.
This project contributes to the practical application of PID control in aerodynamic systems and provides a useful reference for future studies on control system design and implementation
