Abstract

Social media plays a crucial role in the lives of college students, impacting their academic success, mental health, social relationships, and general well-being. This research seeks to explore the both the beneficial and harmful impacts of social media use among college students. The study relies on primary data obtained from a structured questionnaire from 100 respondents. The results indicate that while social media improves communication and learning prospects, overuse can result in distractions, lower academic performance, anxiety, depression, and sleep issues.
