Abstract
The issue of motorcycle riders' safety still needs attention since accidents occur as a result of negligence, overspeeding, and alcohol abuse. The research seeks to present an intelligent Smart Helmet that uses IoT technology to ensure improved safety of roads and quick rescue operations. The system comprises sensors used to measure the rider's health condition and detect any possible accident occurrence. The first sensor identifies alcohol in the system to detect any case of intoxication, while the second one measures the vibration levels during collisions. NodeMCU/Arduino processor is used to process the data collected from the sensors and trigger warning signs using a buzzer and display device. In cases of emergencies, GPS and GSM devices transmit the position of the accident to pre-selected contacts for prompt aid. The proposed system can also control the ignition of vehicles for additional safety.
