Abstract
This project presents an Edge AI–enabled smart vision assistance system for visually challenged individuals. The system uses computer vision and deep learning models deployed on edge devices to process real-time visual data with low latency and enhanced privacy. A camera captures the surroundings, and features such as object detection, scene understanding, and text recognition are applied to interpret the environment. The processed information is delivered through an audio feedback system using text-to-speech technology. By reducing reliance on cloud computing, the system ensures faster response and reliability. It aims to improve independent navigation, safety, and overall quality of life for visually impaired users.
