Abstract

This study assessed the implementation of the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track and the challenges perceived by Senior High School students of Salvacion National High School in Trento, Agusan del Sur. It examined the level of implementation in terms of facilities and equipment, industry preparedness/partnership, workplace/learning environment, instruction, and imposition, as well as the challenges encountered in learning environment, learning participation, and learning responsibility. The study utilized a quantitative descriptive-survey design involving 27 Grade 11 and Grade 12 TVL students, with data collected through an adapted questionnaire and analyzed using weighted mean and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. Results revealed that the implementation of the TVL track was generally high (M = 4.16), interpreted as oftentimes implemented, while students’ perceived challenges were sometimes perceived (M = 3.36). Furthermore, a significant moderate negative relationship was found between the implementation of the TVL track and students’ perceived challenges (r = -0.41, p = 0.032), indicating that improved implementation of the program is associated with fewer challenges experienced by learners. An instructional development plan was proposed to address the identified concerns and enhance the effectiveness of the TVL program.
