Abstract
This study examined the impact of transformational leadership and work environment on teachers’ performance in Trento District, Division of Agusan del Sur, during the school year 2025–2026. It determined the extent of transformational leadership, level of work environment, and level of teachers’ performance, as well as the relationships among these variables and their predictive influence. A quantitative descriptive-correlational research design was employed involving public school teachers selected through universal sampling. Data were gathered using adapted survey questionnaires and the Department of Education’s Classroom Observation Tool (COT). Findings revealed that transformational leadership was highly extensive while the level of work environment was perceived as high. Teachers’ performance was likewise rated very high. The results further showed significant positive relationships between transformational leadership and teachers’ performance and between work environment and teachers’ performance, with work environment demonstrating a stronger influence. Moreover, transactional leadership and administrators’ support emerged as significant predictors of teachers’ performance. The study concludes that leadership practices and work environment play vital roles in enhancing teachers’ performance and highlights the importance of strengthening administrative support, feedback systems, and resource provision to sustain high levels of teacher effectiveness.
