Abstract
This study focused on the implementation of the *Katarungang Pambarangay* (KP) Law in Barangay Kauswagan, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur. It examined the efficiency of the *Lupong Tagapamayapa* (Lupon) in its operations, the effectiveness of dispute resolution under the KP Law, the Lupon's creativity and resourcefulness, and the adequacy of facilities supporting KP activities. To provide a comprehensive understanding, the study gathered data on the problems and issues encountered in the implementation of the law, along with respondents’ recommendations for improvement. The study also explored the demographic profile of individuals who availed themselves of Lupon services, using a research instrument validated by field experts. A qualified statistician from the academic sector calculated the frequency, percentage and mean as the statistical methods applied in the analysis. Findings indicated a high level of satisfaction among respondents with the implementation of the KP Law in Barangay Kauswagan. The study confirmed the barangay’s compliance with legal standards and supported the recognition it received during the period under review. Based on the identified issues and recommendations, the study offered an in-depth analysis and proposed targeted interventions to further enhance the implementation of the KP Law in the community.
