Abstract
Contactless payments have revolutionized the way transactions are conducted worldwide, particularly through cell- phones. In India, the adoption of contactless payments has been rapid due to the proliferation of smartphones and digital payment platforms. This paper explores the current landscape of contactless payments in India, the technologies involved, user adoption trends, and the challenges faced. The analysis is based on secondary data sources and empirical studies conducted in the Indian market. The findings indicate a significant shift towards digital payments, driven by convenience, government initiatives, and increasing smartphone penetration.
