Abstract
Solar energy has emerged as a promising solution to the world's growing energy needs, offering a clean, renewable, and sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. This paper provides a comprehensive review of solar energy, encompassing its history, current technologies, challenges, and future prospects. Beginning with an overview of the fundamentals of solar energy and its conversion processes, the paper explores the various types of solar technologies, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, concentrating solar power (CSP), and emerging technologies such as perovskite solar cells and solar thermal fuels.
