Abstract
The potential for wind power is a new and renewable energy source that is warmly being developed in this millennial era to meet current and future electrical energy needs. Electrical energy conversion is a system for converting other energy into electrical energy with components such as wind turbines, generator and other control systems. The power curve is an indicator of wind turbine work performance in converting wind energy to electrical energy. The rotor is designed for a 10 kW WECS wind turbine at a wind speed of 10 m/s with a rotational speed of 150 rpm. Effect of pitch angle on rotor speed and wind turbine output power. Conduct a study on the performance of wind turbines by analyzing the effect of the pitch angle of a 10 kW wind turbine with a rotation of 150 rpm with low wind speed conditions in the Lospalos area using PSIM software. The purpose of this study is to find out how much turbine capacity optimizes wind turbine power and output power that can be developed in the region. The result is that the addition of a pitch angle of 20 degrees affects the output power and rotor rotation. And the optimal power is obtained at an wind speed of 7/second at 90 rpm. When using a power sim, optimal power is obtained at a speed of 6 m/sec at 80 rpm
