Abstract
Quality detection of grains is necessary for each local as well as export purpose . There is need for the growth of fast, accurate and objective system for the identification, classification, quality determination of food grains.For that Different types of features (morphological, color and texture) were extracted from the images of grains using different approaches after this grade the grain as good, medium and low quality using the parameters such as size, shape, color and the impurities present in the grain. In this quality and grading of grains were analysed using the average Values of the features extracted and it was implemented using image processing and machine learning techniques such as neural networks, support vector machines, BPNN, PNN, CNN, etc.
