Abstract

Cynodon dactylon, commonly known as Bermuda grass, has been widely studied for its medicinal properties, including its gastroprotective effects. study has explored its phytochemical composition, preliminary tests such as ash value and extractive values, GC-MS analysis, molecular docking studies, and formulation of syrup for gastroprotective properties.Studies indicate that Cynodon dactylon contains flavonoids, alkaloids, glycosides, terpenoids, steroids, and other bioactive compounds that contribute to its medicinal benefits. GC-MS analysis has identified various phytoconstituents that may play a role in its therapeutic effects. Molecular docking studies have been conducted to understand its interaction with target proteins related to gastroprotection. Additionally, formulations such as syrups have been developed and evaluated for their effectiveness in treating gastrointestinal disorders.
