Abstract
Owing to the fact that the available sites for waste disposal are rapidly depleting, various countries have already outlawed the retention of waste-tyre rubber in disposal areas. Hence, efforts are being made to discover the prospective use of waste tyre rubber in construction technology .Wastes generated by industrial and agricultural processes have created disposal and management problems which pose serious challenges to efforts towards environmental conservation. A considerable amount of coconut shells and fibres remain in the environment as waste, so utilization of these materials for construction will be an important step to improve sustainability and eco-friendly construction.
