Abstract
This study focuses on the cement treatment of a silty-clayey soil intended for use as a foundation layer as part of the rehabilitation of National Road RN43 in Madagascar. Experimental investigations included particle size analysis, Atterberg limits, Proctor, CBR, and swelling tests. The results show that a 3% cement dosage significantly improves the mechanical properties of the material, with an increase in the CBR index from 18 to 58. The treatment also reduces soil plasticity and swelling while improving its stiffness and durability.
