Abstract
The integral part of our needs is mainly money. Money plays an important role in our day to day life. So its genuinity is important. Circulation of fake money can destroy the economic growth process of our country. Circulation of fake money cause much inconvience to people. Fake currency recognition is an important research area in image processing. The recognition includes some basic steps such as image acquisition, its preprocessing techniques and also currency localization techniques, different types of features of images are extracted by using neural networks classifies the images. A currency recognition system for common people has been developed in this paper.
