INFLUENCE OF SCHOOL HEADS’ COMMUNICATION AND MANAGERIAL SKILLS TO TEACHER JOB-SATISFACTION

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between school heads' communication skills, managerial skills, and teachers' job satisfaction in the Bunawan District, Division of Agusan del Sur. Using a correlational research design, validated and adapted survey questionnaires were utilized to collect data on the study variables. School heads' communication skills were measured in terms of relational skills, personal traits, social skills, and presentation skills, while managerial skills were assessed through decision-making, conflict management, teamwork, and adaptability. Teachers' job satisfaction was evaluated using indicators of work environment, leadership support, professional growth, compensation and benefits, and interpersonal relationships. The findings revealed that school heads demonstrated very high levels of communication and managerial skills, while teachers likewise reported a very high level of job satisfaction. Furthermore, the study found significant positive relationships between school heads' communication skills and teachers' job satisfaction, as well as between school heads' managerial skills and teachers' job satisfaction. The results indicate that effective communication fosters trust, collaboration, and positive professional relationships, whereas strong managerial competencies enhance organizational efficiency, teacher motivation, and workplace satisfaction. These findings underscore the vital role of competent school leadership in creating a supportive and productive school environment that promotes teachers' well-being and professional commitment. The study provides valuable insights for school administrators, educational leaders, and policymakers in designing leadership development programs that strengthen communication and managerial competencies to sustain high levels of teacher job satisfaction and overall school effectiveness.
