TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP PRACTICES OF TEACHERS AND PARENTAL ENGAGEMENT IN SCHOOLS: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF SCHOOL-HOME COLLABORATION

This study aimed to determine the Transformational leadership Practices of teachers and parental engagement in schools: The mediating role of school-home collaboration of parents in Pangyan Elementary schools and Sta. Maria Central Elementary school in Trento, Agusan del Sur. The study employed a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design, utilizing an adapted survey questionnaire from the reputable sources. The respondents of the study were the parents of selected public elementary schools, identified through stratified random sampling. The data gathered were analyzed using statistical tools such as mean, Pearson r correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results revealed Transformational leadership practices of teacher was generally agree at high level manifested, while home to school collaboration manifested at a high-level practice among the parents. parental involvement was described as agree which is generally high-level practice. Further, the results showed that Relationship between transformational leadership and parental involvement is significant while the regression analysis revealed that Home-School Collaboration Mediating Transformational leadership of teachers and Parental involvement significantly predicted. These highlight strong partnerships are essential in translating leadership practices into meaningful parental engagement.
