Abstract
The growing reliance on renewable energy highlights the need to enhance the efficiency and reliability of solar power systems. Conventional photovoltaic installations often suffer performance losses due to fixed panel orientation, variable weather conditions, and dust accumulation. This paper presents a conceptual framework for a solar tracking system integrated with weather forecasting and an automated cleaning mechanism to improve solar energy utilization. The approach employs a single-axis tracking concept to align photovoltaic panels with the sun’s apparent motion, enhancing solar irradiance capture. Weather forecasting principles are incorporated to enable adaptive system behavior under changing atmospheric conditions, while an automated cleaning strategy addresses efficiency degradation caused by dust deposition. The integration of intelligent sensing, control, and forecasting concepts offers a unified solution to reduce efficiency losses and maintenance dependency. This conceptual design demonstrates potential improvements in energy yield, operational reliability, and sustainable deployment of solar power systems across various application domains.
