Valorization of cocoa pods (Theobroma cacao) for feeding greenhouse ducks in the Antalaha District

Our study focused on the use of cocoa husks as feed for ducklings raised in a greenhouse. The objective was to test the use of varying proportions of cocoa pod pericarp powder in the ducks' diet to determine its effects on the animals' growth performance and to assess the effectiveness of the greenhouse for duckling growth. Our methodology was based on a literature review and experimental methods. We proposed two approaches based on identification methods. These approaches aimed to impose temperature increments within the greenhouse. First, we provided a brief description of the operation of the On/Off (ON/OFF) control system. Then, we presented a theoretical study of the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control system and the Linear-Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) control system. Based on the results of our research, we can say that duckling growth is directly related to the quality and quantity of feed, as well as the conditions in which they are raised. The use of cocoa husks in poultry farming is more profitable, as we see in group C. This group exhibits strong growth compared to the others, thanks to the nutritional value contained in the husks.
