Abstract
Kadar is an Ayurvedic term used for corn as per modern sciences. It is a deep-seated, hard and painful growth on plantar region of foot. It can be present on hands region also. Pressure and friction are the main reasons of pathophysiology. After that Dhatus involvement occur. It is of various types according to site of occurrence. Life style plays a very big role in development of symptoms. It can be treated by two methods:- minor surgical procedure and medication. In Ayurvedic texts both oral medication and surgery are advised. Due to vitiated Rakta and Meda Dhatu, it can cause other symptoms in body. Corns treated with Ayurveda medicine are irreversible. So basic treatment is to balance those Dhatus. Modern sciences suggest extraction of the affected tissue. Integration of both the sciences can give better results. This study will help to fill the gap in knowledge.
