Barriers hindering the effectiveness of the FJKM Anosizato Hebrona Church's social intervention

This study examines the barriers hindering the effectiveness of the societal intervention of the FJKM Anosizato Hebrona Church. Adopting an inter-epistemic approach, it integrates insights from development anthropology, organizational science, functionalist sociology, and communication studies to analyze the Church’s internal and external dynamics. Using a mixed-method design—comprising a survey of 200 church members and 30 semi-structured interviews—the research identifies three key variables: organizational coherence, societal relevance, and perceived effectiveness. Findings reveal significant positive correlations among these dimensions, as well as a notable gap between the Church’s actions and the real expectations of its members. The study concludes with recommendations for improving internal coordination, participatory governance, and contextual responsiveness to enhance the Church’s social impact.
