Abstract
भारत एक कृषि प्रधान देश है, जहाँ अधिकांश जनसंख्या ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में निवास करती है तथा कृषि पर निर्भर है। ग्रामीण समाज में लघु एवं सीमांत कृषक परिवारों की संख्या सर्वाधिक है। इन परिवारों के सामाजिक जीवन, जीवन स्तर, सामाजिक सहभागिता तथा सामाजिक गतिशीलता पर शिक्षा एवं स्वास्थ्य का महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव पड़ता है। प्रस्तुत अध्ययन का उद्देश्य बिजनौर जनपद के लघु एवं सीमांत कृषक परिवारों के सामाजिक जीवन पर शिक्षा एवं स्वास्थ्य के प्रभाव का समाजशास्त्रीय विश्लेषण करना है। अध्ययन में 200 लघु एवं सीमांत कृषक परिवारों का चयन किया गया। प्राप्त आँकड़ों का विश्लेषण प्रतिशत, माध्य, मानक विचलन एवं 'टी' परीक्षण द्वारा किया गया। अध्ययन में पाया गया कि जिन परिवारों का शिक्षा स्तर एवं स्वास्थ्य स्तर बेहतर है, उनका सामाजिक जीवन, सामाजिक सहभागिता तथा सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा अपेक्षाकृत अधिक सुदृढ़ है।
