Abstract
We report the case of a 32-year-old female patient with no significant medical history and no known hypertension. Clinically, she presented with abdominal pain evolving over six months, without any associated urinary symptoms. Radiological examinations revealed an intraperitoneal mass located posteriorly in the left hypochondrium and left iliac fossa, in close contact with a loop of the small intestine.
During the surgical procedure, episodes of tachycardia and hypertensive spikes occurred following manipulation of the tumor, followed by hypotension after the mass was removed. The management of these severe perioperative complications led to the discovery of an ectopic pheochromocytoma, which had previously gone undiagnosed, and was later confirmed histologically.
