Abstract
This study investigates consumer motivations, transitions, and lifestyle adaptations in adopting veganism across Eastern and Western countries. Drawing on qualitative interviews with 50 participants from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, supported by secondary research, the study compares how motivations, practices, and barriers differ across contexts. Findings indicate that motivations often overlap—ethical, health-related, and environmental—and that challenges such as cost, social exclusion, and availability vary by culture. Quotes and case insights highlight the personal struggles and adaptive strategies of vegan consumers. Tables and figures illustrate demographic characteristics, dietary categories, and environmental impacts. The study concludes that veganism is best understood as a multidimensional lifestyle phenomenon rather than a singular dietary practice.
