Abstract
In today’s data-driven business environment, tracking and analyzing customer behavior is essential to improving loyalty programs and member engagement. This research introduces a custom analytics dashboard built using Metabase—an open-source business intelligence platform—linked to a SQLite database containing datasets related to member registrations, reward redemptions, and transactions. The project’s objective is to explore patterns and trends that inform strategic decision-making and operational improvement.
The process included data cleaning, importing structured datasets, building visual models in Metabase, and generating dashboards to observe member activity over time and across geographic zones. Key results include identifying peak registration cycles, evaluating redemption patterns by member tier, and analyzing financial flows through transactions. These insights help organizations tailor rewards programs, monitor delivery efficiency, and spot anomalies such as duplicate entries or irregular redemptions.
The study demonstrates that open-source tools can provide meaningful business intelligence without high infrastructure costs. The developed dashboard is scalable, user-friendly, and effective in generating real-time insights for organizations managing loyalty or membership-based services.
