Abstract
The manuscript depicts the rural scenario of the miserable condition of women of the remote places of Sundarban, West Bengal, India. Two villages were selected during the surveying one is Bithari another is Gobindakatti. The survey was of long duration and data was collected for three phases of consequences in which women of two villages faced the trap of sex racketing and women trafficking. During the pandemic time when they faced the economic shock due to loss of job and daily income amidst lockdown period, the rate of trafficking reached the maximum level. Unfortunately the village Bithari faced the maximum cases of women trafficking in 20-30 years age group, compared to village Gobindakatti during pandemic while in case of Gobindakatti, the women somehow managed to start their home based business with bio-based items like ornamental fish, bee hives and honey rearing which help them escape the deluding calls of dishonest traps of fake hope of jobs leading to trafficking and trapping in sex rackets. It was fortunate for us to convey the results of survey regarding the strategy of income initiated by Gobindakatti women group to the marginalized women of the Bithari which encouraged them greatly and they were moved ethically out of self dignity. Here lies the success of our research.
