Abstract
The Bus Pass with Webcam Scan System is an innovative solution aimed at streamlining the process of bus pass issuance and verification using modern webcam technology. In this project, a user-friendly system is developed that utilizes a webcam to scan the user's photo ID or other relevant documents for automated bus pass issuance and verification. The core objective of the system is to enhance convenience, reduce manual errors, and improve the overall efficiency of the public transportation system. The project integrates computer vision algorithms to accurately capture and process the user's information, ensuring quick and secure authentication. A facial recognition or barcode scanning feature can be added to verify the identity of the pass holder during the boarding process. Furthermore, the system will have a centralized database to store bus pass details, usage logs, and user profiles, ensuring real-time updates and secure access. This system will provide a cost-effective, eco-friendly, and scalable solution for both transit authorities and passengers, eliminating the need for physical cards and reducing the risk of fraud.
