Abstract
The experimental results revealed that the incorporation of GYPSUM and HUMAN HAIR led to a notable improvement in the engineering properties of black cotton soil. Significant reductions were observed in the plasticity index, indicating a decrease in the soil's swelling potential. Furthermore, the addition of these stabilizing agents resulted in an increase in the maximum dry density and unconfined compressive strength, demonstrating enhanced soil stability and loadbearing capacity. The inclusion of HUMAN HAIR fibers provided reinforcement, contributing to improved tensile strength. Additionally, the impact on permeability was also examined, providing data on how the additives affected the soils drainage characteristics. The optimal percentages of GYPSUM and HUMAN HAIR for achieving the most desirable soil properties were determined through careful analysis of the test results
