Abstract

اردو نثر میں طنز و مزاح کی روایت ایک طویل اور متنوع سفر کا عکاس ہے جو مختلف ادوار میں مختلف ادبی رجحانات کے تحت پروان چڑھی۔ اس روایت نے نہ صرف انسانی جذبات کو گہرائی سے سمجھنے کا موقع فراہم کیا بلکہ معاشرتی، سیاسی اور ثقافتی پہلوؤں پر بھی روشنیروشن ڈالی۔ اردو ادب میں طنز و مزاح کی ابتدا سے لے کر جدید دور تک اس صنف نے مختلف شکلیں اختیار کیں اور مختلف شخصیات کے ذریعے اپنے عروج کو پہنچیں۔ اس مضمون میں ہم اکبر الہ آبادی سے لے کر مشتاق احمد یوسفی تک طنز و مزاح کی روایت کا جائزہ لیں گے۔
