Abstract: The construction of the Baglihar Dam, located on the Chenab River in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, India, has significant implications for the surrounding geography and ecosystem. This research paper examines the geographic disturbances resulting from the dam's construction, including alterations to land use, hydrology, sediment transport, and local biodiversity.
