Abstract
This study delves into the intricacies of planning and scheduling a residential building project comprising a basement, ground floor, and 15 upper floors (B+G+15) using Microsoft Project. The objective is to establish an effective project management framework that ensures timely completion, optimal resource allocation, and cost control. Utilizing Microsoft Project, a comprehensive scheduling model is developed, encompassing all phases from site preparation to final handover. Key project management principles such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Critical Path Method (CPM), and Gantt charts are employed to streamline activities and identify potential bottlenecks. The study highlights the importance of integrating detailed planning with dynamic scheduling to adapt to unforeseen changes, manage risks, and maintain project momentum. Through meticulous task sequencing, resource leveling, and continuous monitoring, the project demonstrates improved efficiency and reduced delays. The findings underscore the efficacy of Microsoft Project as a robust tool for managing complex construction projects, ultimately contributing to enhanced project performance and stakeholder satisfaction.
