Abstract
In this project, we have developed a Social Media Application using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) to provide users with an engaging and interactive platform for social networking. In addition to the basic social media functionalities, we have introduced two new exciting features: real-time weather information and news updates. Users can register, log in, and create personalized profiles. The main feed displays posts from other users, allowing for interactions through likes and comments. Moreover, users can now also access the weather of any state, making it convenient to plan activities or trips. The application also provides real-time news articles, keeping users informed about the latest happenings. The implementation of these new features involves utilizing APIs to fetch weather data and news articles, which are then seamlessly integrated into the application's interface. The project is designed with scalability, security, and user-friendliness in mind, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all users. This Social Media Application with enhanced features offers a unique and compelling platform for users to connect, stay informed, and engage with each other, making it an exciting addition to the world of social networking.
