Abstract—This paper proposes a secure multi-keyword rankedsearchschemeforencryptedclouddataTheincreasingpopularityofcloudcomputinghasprompteddataownerstoconsideroutsourcing their data to cloud servers. This trend is primarilydrivenbytheconvenienceandcostreductionbenefitsofferedbycloudcomputing..However,tomaintainprivacy,sensitivedataneedstobeencryptedbeforeoutsourcing,whichposeschallenges for data utilization, such as keyword-based documentretrieval.Atree-basedindexstructureisconstructed,anda”Greedy Depth-first Search” algorithm is introduced to enableefficientmulti-keywordrankedsearch.Intheproposedscheme,asecurekNN(kNearestNeighbors)algorithmisemployedtohandletheencryptionofindexandqueryvectorswhilemaintaining accurate relevance score calculation between them.ThekNNalgorithmisawidelyusedtechniqueforsimilaritysearch and retrieval tasks. Statistical attacks refer to techniqueswhereanattackertriestogaininsightsorinferinformationby analyzing statistical patterns or properties of the encrypteddata. The special tree-based index structure enables sub-linearsearch time and flexibility in handling document deletion andinsertion operations. The efficiency of the proposed scheme isdemonstratedthroughextensiveexperiments.Byleveragingindexconstruction techniques, query generation methods, and encryp-tionalgorithms,theschemeenablesdataownerstomaintainprivacywhilestillbenefitingfromtheconvenienceandcostreductionofferedbycloudcomputing.
