Abstract
The aim of our study is to determine the direct effect of natural resources on economic vulnerability into CEMAC zone. Three regressions technics were used for this purpose. First the Fixed Effects (FE); the results by this method showed that natural and oil rent increases economic vulnerability, this result is robust to the Two Stage Least Squared (2SLS) and Maximum Likelihood with Limited Information (LIML) estimators. On the other hand, the mining rent has no effect on economic vulnerability. Moreover, we have shown that mineral rent harm economic vulnerability. At the end of these results, we recommend the reduction and commercialization of natural resources in general and the use of a good part of the said resources in local and national industries.
