Abstract
The main purpose of the project is to create a road sign detection system which detects road signs and
displays and announces it to the driver. In order to solve the concerns over road and transportation safety, road
sign detection and recognition system is required. The system should detect and recognize road signs from and
within images captured by cameras or imaging sensors. In adverse road conditions, the driver may not notice road
signs, which may cause accidents. In such scenarios, the system comes into action and recognizes the signs and
announces it to the driver.
