Abstract
This project has implemented the idea of a safe storage facility of grains in warehouses and thus prevents the farmer from using the traditional method for grain storage. Instead of separate temperature and humidity sensors, a single DHT 11 sensor is used which is cost effective and can be used by farmers. The accuracy level is good so that the user can rely upon the proposed system. The performance of the DHT 11 sensor has a significant effect on the accuracy of moisture determination in the crops. The Peltier device which is being used in the proposed model is also cost effective and thus can be used to automatically control the temperature and humidity conditions in the warehouse. GSM Mobile technology not only plays an important in updating the user about the process regularly. Thus the farmer automatically gets updated about the conditions in the warehouse without actually being present in the warehouse. The analysis plot also gets continuously updated in the server according to the changes in the conditions in the warehouse. This will help the farmer in getting the correct price for his yield and also prevents the farmers from getting cheated by the middleman and also helps the customers in buying the quality products. In this way, the huge losses to the farmers are averted. The proposed system is cost-effective and needs some basic knowledge to be used by the farmer.
