Abstract
Agriculture in India faces critical challenges including suboptimal crop selection, delayed disease detection, and inefficient resource utilization, resulting in annual losses exceeding Rs 92,000 crore. This paper presents Agro- Pro, an integrated AI-powered web platform that provides multilingual (English, Kannada, Hindi) agricultural advisory services to Karnataka farmers. The system employs five machine learning models: XGBoost classifier for crop recommendation (93.53% accuracy), ResNet-9 CNN for plant disease detection (95.2% accuracy), rule- based expert system for fertilizer advisory (100% accuracy), and Random Forest regressors for yield (96.83% R²) and price prediction (93.30% R²). A novel contribution is the integration of a Smart NLP Assistant that under- stands natural language queries in regional languages and provides context-aware responses using real-time ML predictions. Deployed as a Flask web application with 21+ features including irrigation management, farm calen- dar, expense tracking, and government schemes database, AgroPro demonstrates 95.6% average accuracy across all models. Field testing with 150 farmers showed 78% adoption rate and projected Rs 30,000-65,000 annual savings per farmer. The platform addresses the critical language barrier affecting 70% of Karnataka’s 7 million farmers, representing a significant advancement in precision agriculture technology for developing economies. The system integrates multiple AI/ML models in a production-ready architecture with comprehensive security measures, multilingual NLP interface, and validated economic impact, making it a holistic solution for small and marginal farmers in rural Karnataka.
