Abstract
Inclusion of children with disabilities in mainstream classrooms has become the focus of extensive research in education. It has both academic and social benefits for all students, such as providing opportunities for communication and social interaction. The evaluation of secondary school teachers’ notions towards inclusion appears to be a good method to determine the success of the program. Although this has been widely researched in many countries, the available evidence is not consistent. This study was undertaken in the state of Telangana in India, to measure and compare secondary school teachers ‘notions towards the inclusion of children with hearing impairment in schools.
