Abstract
Nowadays, all the manufacturing industries have one goal, which is to increase quality of product with less cost and time hindrance. Their prime focus is on achieving high quality, better surface finish, more product life and high production rate. This can be done by changing existing technology and hence develop product with fair price. It is also necessary to control speed, feed, depth of cut, tool geometry, tool material, work material, etc. which governs the required output parameters such as surface roughness, material removal rate, tool wear, vibration etc. To optimize all the machining parameters we need to determine the most significant parameter for output. There are many approaches for achieving machining parameter in which widely used is Taguchi and ANOVA approach. This review shows how the different cutting parameters will effect MRR and surface roughness.
