Abstract
Right to information is an inherent right of every citizen in a democratic country like India. It ensures not only the right of a citizen to know about the government activities but also empowers them to fight against corruption and partisan action of the government, apart open and unrestricted dissemination of information also enhances public health and safety and the general social welfare, as citizens become better able to make informed decisions about their daily life, their environment and their future.
