Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to reconstruct a human femur bone by using 2D tomographic slices with hip implant and to perform a static finite element analysis for optimum orientation of hip implant. The 3D human femur was processed using biomedical imaging and editing software packages. The work resulted in three-dimensional solid model can be used in finite element analysis.
