Abstract
Prakriti, a fundamental concept of Ayurveda, refers to an individual's innate psycho-physiological constitution determined at the time of conception. It is based on the predominance of the three Doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—which influence physical characteristics, mental attributes, emotional responses, and behavioral patterns. Although traditionally used for disease prevention and personalized healthcare, the concept of Prakriti has significant implications in modern professional life. Understanding one's constitutional type promotes self-awareness, enhances interpersonal relationships, improves leadership abilities, facilitates stress management, and supports career development. This conceptual article explores the Ayurvedic understanding of Prakriti and discusses its relevance in professional settings through the lens of organizational behavior, emotional intelligence, workplace wellness, and leadership. Integrating Ayurvedic principles into professional development may contribute to healthier work environments, greater productivity, and sustainable organizational success.
