Abstract
This correlational study was designed to investigate the extent to which parental involvement and the quality of learning infrastructure predict the effectiveness of School-Based Management (SBM) practices at Langgawisan National High School, which ultimately shapes student academic readiness and educational motivation. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational research design, the study aimed to determine the current levels of each variable and the nature of their relationship among a total of 200 selected respondents. Indicators for parental involvement include home-based involvement (e.g., homework supervision, discussing school activities), school-based involvement (e.g., attending Parent-Teacher meetings, volunteering), and parent-school communication. These dimensions heavily influence extrinsic motivation and provide vital stress management support for students navigating their academic demands. Meanwhile, learning infrastructure will be assessed based on the availability and condition of physical resources (e.g., classrooms, libraries, laboratories), technological resources (e.g., computers, internet access), and educational materials (e.g., textbooks, learning modules). SBM practices are evaluated across key principles, including leadership and governance, curriculum and planning, accountability and continuous improvement, and management of resources. Data were collected using validated survey questionnaires and analyzed using statistical tools such as mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The expected findings would reveal the level of SBM practices and the significant predictive power of parental involvement and learning infrastructure. Ultimately, the study aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for school administrators and the Parent-Teacher-Community Association (PTCA) to enhance school governance, elevate academic performance, and improve overall educational outcomes at Langgawisan National High School.
