Abstract
Children of today were raised in a society shaped by rapid technological advancement and a shift away from traditional values. These contexts greatly influence how they think, feel, and behave in the present. The goal of this phenomenological research was to uncover the experiences, challenges, and insights of parents in addressing their children's behavioral problems. The information and data were gathered through in-depth interviews. The six participants were the parents of students at Compostela National High School who resided in different barangays of Compostela, Davao de Oro. The findings manifested that the prevailing behavioral issues encountered by the parents included laziness, stubbornness, disobedience, and cutting classes. Hence, to overcome these challenges, modern parents employ various strategies, such as constant encouragement and advice, active listening, monitoring, and long-term patience with their children with problematic behavior. The research study concluded that the parents' experiences would be an eye-opener for other parents. These would encourage them to offer guidance and empathy so their children can grow into responsible, balanced, and compassionate individuals.
