INFLUENCE OF PRIVATE SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL COMMITMENT TO THEIR INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES AND JOB SATISFACTION

The study investigates the relationship between the influence of Private school teachers' professional commitment to the instructional practices and job satisfaction among 80 English teachers of private schools in Davao de Oro. Employing a quantitative correlational research design, data were collected through a survey questionnaire administered to teachers. Findings reveal a strong positive correlation between professional commitment and instructional practices, indicating that teachers who are more dedicated to their profession are more likely to employ effective teaching strategies. Instructional practices, in turn, demonstrate a moderate yet significant relationship with job satisfaction, suggesting that effective teaching methods contribute meaningfully to teachers’ fulfillment in their work. However, professional commitment alone does not directly predict job satisfaction, as evidenced by its weak and non-significant correlation. These results highlight instructional practices as the critical mediating factor, transforming professional commitment into tangible outcomes that enhance both teaching effectiveness and job satisfaction. The study underscores the importance of fostering instructional practices as a pathway through which professional dedication translates into improved educational experiences and greater occupational satisfaction.
