Abstract
यह शोध-पत्र महेन्द्रगढ़ जिले के कमजोर वर्गों (SC, ST, OBC, आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े) की आजीविका के साधनों और उनकी आय असमानता का विश्लेषण प्रस्तुत करता है। अध्ययन का आधार प्राथमिक एवं द्वितीयक आंकड़ों पर आधारित है। अध्ययन से पता चलता है कि कृषि, दिहाड़ी मजदूरी, पशुपालन और सरकारी योजनाएँ इन वर्गों के प्रमुख आय स्रोत हैं, परन्तु आय वितरण में स्पष्ट असमानता विद्यमान है। जिन परिवारों की निर्भरता कृषि एवं दिहाड़ी पर है, उनकी औसत आय न्यूनतम पाई गई, जबकि छोटे व्यापार एवं पशुपालन से जुड़े परिवार अपेक्षाकृत बेहतर स्थिति में पाए गए। अध्ययन में आय असमानता मापने हेतु Gini Coefficient, Mean Income Gap तथा Chi-Square आधारित परिकल्पना परीक्षण का उपयोग किया गया। परिणामों से स्पष्ट है कि आजीविका के साधनों और आय स्तर के बीच महत्वपूर्ण संबंध पाया गया। शोध अंत में आय समानता बढ़ाने के लिए रोजगार प्रशिक्षण, सरकारी योजनाओं की पहुंच, सूक्ष्म-वित्त की उपलब्धता और ग्रामीण उद्यमिता के प्रोत्साहन जैसी नीति-आधारित सुझाव प्रस्तुत करता है।
