Abstract
The integration of Generative AI in higher education is shifting the paradigm from one-size-fits-all teaching to personalized, data-informed learning. Based on a review of current research and a survey of undergraduate students, this study reveals that while students are optimistic about AI's capacity to improve engagement through intelligent tutoring and customized learning journeys, they are equally apprehensive about its risks, including misinformation, bias, and privacy. Consequently, we propose a balanced framework that positions AI as a powerful assistant and co-creator within an ethically grounded ecosystem, ensuring teachers remain central while leveraging AI to expand access to personalized education.
