Abstract
RescueBot is a semi-autonomous snake-shaped robotic system designed to support disaster and flood rescue operations in environments where traditional robots and drones fail. Its modular, waterproof and flexible body allows it to navigate narrow gaps, debris, and submerged areas to locate trapped victims. The robot is equipped with a real-time camera module for live video transmission and remote control through a wireless mobile app, enabling safe monitoring without risking human rescuers. By combining enhanced mobility, affordability and fast deployment, RescueBot aims to improve the efficiency and safety of search-and-rescue missions.
